Carbon aerobars, what is best

I want carbon aerobars for my Guru trilite. What is the most comfortable, aerodynamic, light … also best cushion tape. Are they all the same or is there one or two really worth the top dollar…?

Oval Concepts have some nice features over the HED’s. They are more adjustable and more easily adjustable in terms of extension length and pad position. I’d say these are the tops. I ride the HEDs, but if I had to do over, I’d pay the extra for the few nice features on the Ovals.

Check out the Easton base bar/clip on combo. They are lighter than the HED or Oval and they actually have a comfortable hand position(s) on the base bar. Large hands and the HED/Oval’s don’t mix.

I second the Eastons- that is what I use on my ride - great bars - light and no flex - very comfortable.

Think Syntace comfort for the clip ons - only in carbon - and the base bar rocks

No question is Easton. Very comfortable hand position. I forget I am not riding on drops when I am out of aero. Light, well made. Kind of expensive but haven’t regretted one bit.

I agree as well. I have the HED’s with S-bends. The bars are not as adjustable as I had thought (elbow position), and the handles when out of the drops are quite small. I think they’re probably great bars when in the aero position on a straight non-technical course. They make me nervous when I have to make alot of turns. I’m looking at the Eastons as well or the Bontrager’s if they ever materialize in the real world.

On a Guru I’d go new ITM’s or Easton’s.

Both really light, reasonably aero, and pretty darn cool.
