Canyon Bikes..anyone?

Anyone know much about them? i saw the link to their website on the cadel evens thread. they seem to be extremely resonable in prices i was just wondering if anyone has experience on them

I think they’re German and were budget minded as far as CF bikes go. I had a friend who had one, and it looked and performed fine. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was a rebranded Asian bike like so many are.

Nicely priced ‘German’ bikes available online.
Have been used by pro cycling team Unibet for in 2007 as well as some MTB Pros.

I know a guy who rides one and he’s very pleased with it.

I have heard that their customer service can be a little rubbish, but this is reflected in the price that’s lower than normal for a bike of their quality.

They are not rebadged, and win pretty much every tour test both performance and pricewise.
The only problem with them is the new models introduced in december aren’t available before april, but you can see the delivery date on the homepage. Some friends of mine got the road bike and they are both very pleased with it.

I was looking at them a few months ago. All bikes are sold online at their website. Since they do not have a specific US website set-up yet you must pay in Euros, which makes their frames far less of a value compared to similar CF framesets. The good news is that Canyon is planning a US specific website in the near feature with prices in US dollars. If priced similar to Euros, this could save you 30%.

The only time Canyon won a Tour test was when they havn’t had a Storck bike to test against.

Other than that you can get Storck bikes in the us quite easy.

Not trying to argue here, but since comfort was included in the test, Storck bikes usually aren’t anywhere near the win in any tests!
Still both are great bikes, as it is difficult to buy a really bad bike these days:)

A friend of mine has one: Great bike, very light, great for the price. He has no complaints.

They are just a little boring looking!
