Last weekend I used my CH Aero Disc cover in the San Diego Tri. The thing flies! I was able to race with my powertap pro and still have the aero advantage of a disc. It was really helpful when ascending and descending hills to know my power output and also to have the knowledge that I had a leticular shaped ‘disc’ back there. If you are thinking about dropping $600-$1K on a disc, I would say, buy the powertap pro and the disc cover. Studies have showed that its aero benefit is right there with ZIPP when it comes down to wind tunnel tests. I bought mine at wheelbuilder.com and it is awesome. The one drawback was that it doesn’t make that same cool sound the Zipp disc makes, but you get to hear that noise every time you pass someone who does have one. Just wanted to let you guys know how awesome this tool is…
Guess you’ve missed my 9,248 posts on this very topic.
