Cannondale Synapse Disk brake allowed for Ironman?

I am considering buying a Cannondale Synapse Carbon Disk for long rides and I signed up for 1/2 Ironman next year. Is disk brake allowed for Ironman or Challenge races?

I saw one of these setup at a LBS. Wow! Great looking bike.

Discs are allowed but if you are buying this particular bike because of a half ironman - this is not the best choice. Discs are seriously not aero

I will use primary for long rides and I am a true back of the pack guy and I am not too aero myself:)
