I was having a great time making fun of Canada last night. Pointing out it’s lack of ability to even be considered a country when a girl asked “Can they do anything right for you?” Then I blurted out “Look the only three things they get right is rock, bicycles and beer.” Then I had to shut up and look at what I had just said.
What are the three most inportant things to Tibbs? Rock. Bicycles. Beer. Tibbs loves those things. TIbbs lives for those things. No doubt they throw down some really great important rock while the US rock scene continues to wither on the vine. Cervelo and Guru claim the great white north as their home and Tibbs favorite bikes are Cervelo and Guru. That crazy brew the French Canadians sell us is brilliant.
So Canada I am sorry that I have laughed at y’all for many years. I am sorry I asked why you guys where even on world maps. I am sorry I told people all trees in the US point north because Canada sucks. I am sorry.
You guys are still a joke and nothing more then the 51st state but I will now laugh at you in my head and never let the hate cross my lips again.
Don’t know. There is a bar across from Fair Park in Dallas that sells it. By the time I reach it my mind is not functioning normally do too beer and whiskey and all I can do is point at the draft and say “Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!” Then clap my hands and hop up and down.
Hum, if you could try and let me know. I am always looking to broaden my beer palate. I spent more than a few evenings at the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth while I lived there sampling the worldly wares.

Tibbsy, you’re probably thinking of Brador. It’s about 7.5% alcohol content if I remember right. Three of them and I’m on my ass.
A group of friends an I used to go to watch car racing at Road Atlanta every October for about a decade in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s. Always used to take down a 24 pack of Brador with us to hand out to fellow spectators in the grandstands. We never drank it ourselves because it would get us drunk too fast, went to the 7/11 and bought American beer instead.
We made a lot of American friends with that Brador. Same guys would always be looking for us the next year so we could give them more Brador.

If they like Brador the Unibroue folks have something special for you, Fin Du Monde and Maudite, ( both greater than 9% IIRC )they make Brador look like Kool-Aid.
If you’re in Quebec they’re available at the SAQ or and any repectable Depanneur.
The only place I’ve seen them outside of Quebec was in a pub on Broadway in Nashville, near 2nd Avenue.
Now go watch Canadian Bacon and enjoy your beers, EH!!!
You call yourself Canadian? The plural of beer is beer.
Actually, much like fish, that’s only true if the beer is of the same type (1 Sleemans is a beer, 17 Sleemans is beer). A cooler containing several different brands of beer, would be beers.
That is true if, in a sentence, you are referring to the fact that you have several different types of beer in the cooler. If you are ignoring that (let’s say all you have is American swill, so there is no point in differentiating the brands) then you should refer to the multiple bottles of beer as “beer”.
e.g.
“I have 24 beer in the cooler. In said cooler, I have 3 beers, Sleemans, Blue, and Black Label. Which do you want?”
You mean the Unibrou beers… Fin Du Monde, Don de Dieu, Maudite, Blanche de Chambly (which I get locally on tap yummy!), Ephemere… the big 750mL bottles… mmmm… getting thirsty just thinking about it. Also good from QC is Macauslan. They do a nice Oatmeal Stout and a super yummy Apricot ale.
I’ve just finished watching the first two seasons of Prison Break which reminds me of an appropriate statement for this thread:
“Canada is bigger and its on top. If we were in prison, the US would be our bitch.”
But we’d still let you enjoy our rock, bikes and beer.
