Can you fundraise through Triathlon?

I don’t know… I am still trying to keep the wheels turning in generating funds for the National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia - NATT.

What strategies are most effective in your opinion?

I have several different things going but it is hard to say which ones interest people the most. I can only learn by trying either through auctions or asking individuals for donations as they match some money to the number of miles that I race throughout the year. Can 300 Miles worth of racing be enough? Should I just concentrate in one race instead and get people interested that way?

Well, we will see at the end of the summer. All I want to do is get NATT’s name out there and make people aware that blood clots and blood clotting disorders are very crtical and very important to know about.

might not be a bad idea to contact a local RD and ask if one of the smaller local races would want to be an official fundraiser. Not sure where you live or what kind of races are around there but just a thought.

Thanks for the thoughts.
I live and race all over the region around Columbus, OH.
I’ve been trying to break through the RD’s here in Columbus but it is been a challenge. Later on this summer, the Greater Cleveland Triathlon Half-Iron Distance race will be helping us out with this fundraising effort so I am very much excited about.

One way or another people are going to learn about blood clots and blood clotting disorders.
