Can you change the hub on a Hed 3 from Shimano to Campy?

hmmmm…when I recently changed over my bike from Shimano to Campy I bought an American Classic conversions cassette for my Mavics. When I received the conversion cassette I was a little worried about the quality of the cassette because the rings just seemed weak. Well when I discussed this with my LBS they suggested I just change out the hub (I didn’t realize you could do that) and they also said they didn’t have good luck with the American Classic conversion cassettes. Therefore I was hoping to change out the hub on my Hed 3 as well. I appreciate your reply.

I believe you can starting with the '04 models. But I don’t think you can prior to that. I have no experience doing it, but I remember reading that in the HED catalog in 2004…

I once called HED to ask this and got a big fat NO. My H3’s are about 2001.

No, you cannot change them.

The wheels manufacturing adaptor cassette works well.
