Can it get any worse for Michigan?

New Jersey Institute of Technology. Let that sink in for a moment.

NJIT downs Michigan on Michigan’s home court. Wow. Just … wow!

Next up for Michigan is Our Lady of the Worthless Miracle Home for Wayward Women. Michigan is 12 point dogs …

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Not even NJIT’s coach expected his team to win at Michigan. Just ask him.

“Honestly, this wasn’t in my game plan,” Jim Engles said. "Coming into the season, I sort of penciled this one in as an ‘L.’ I have to readjust my whole process here, as to, ‘We just beat Michigan. I don’t know, maybe we should be in the Top 25.’

“I don’t really know what to say.”

How about this: The team that played for the national title less than two years ago just lost to a commuter school whose “arena” doubles as a campus fitness center.

So they lost to the University of Phoenix. I feel so bad for them.

Hey, how 'bout them Buckeyes?

Funny how fast a star falls. Brady Hoke turned San Diego State from a 2-10 doormat into a 9-4 team with a Poinsettia Bowl victory over Navy and a brief foray into top-25 ranking. We thought he was the savior and wept when he forsook us for the big time lights. It’s mind-boggling that he could pull that off, go someplace with 10x the talent and money, and then screw the pooch so badly.

It can always get worse. I actually think this will be good for them in the long run. It’s a young team and they need to be tested, but still, NJIT, they’re now 1-0 against Top 25 teams…

At least Beilein has a track record of developing talent and making progress throughout the season.

New Jersey Institute of Technology.

They should probably change their name to something more Top 25-ish, like “Jersey Tech”

Texas Tech
Georgia Tech
Jersey Tech

I like it!

What really strikes me about Hokes tenure is he originally did great with the kids that Rich Rod recruited but each year after his
initial year his success diminished. So much for having to have a Michigan man at the helm. Right now I would be happy if
Bo Pelini got hired.

They could move to Cleveland.

This all goes back to when a Michigan defensive back was mistakenly awarded the Heisman Trophy. It has to be.

This is what I love about college basketball. Small unknown teams pulling the upset. I went to a small school not much bigger then NJIT and when we played a big team or made it to the tourny it was a major event. The whole campus and town would shutdown to watch the game.

And now it’s Eastern Michigan University.

I think Michigan will end up being pretty good but damn are they struggling right now.

Yes, yes it can
.

Agreed. If this was football, they’d be done with two bad losses. Too good of a coach for them not to get the ship turned around. By March this will be forgotten.

Trust me, you don’t want Pelini. Although the rest of the big ten might be fine with that.

I can’t wait to hear what the Izzone comes up when those losers travel to East Lansing.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

People were trying to blow off the NJIT loss as them just not being up for the game because it was trivial. When you start losing to possbily online schools and directional schools you know there is a problem.

My first choice was Schembechler. Nothing like Bo and his happy face on the sidelines vs. OSU.

It’s mind boggling that this is the same team that played Villanova to the wire and beat Syracuse last week. I know they’re young and all their talent keeps leaving for the NBA, but shit, man.

I have confidence Beilein will get it turned around but these past two games were just plain embarrassing.

Many would consider this worse.

Seems to have been debunked. ESPN reports that Cutcliffe was never actually contacted.
