i’m just curious if anyone has come across this. for most rides, except races, i’d like to put my HR on my aerobars somehow. i have an old school set of scott clip-ons. on one side of have my computer and i’d like to put the HR monitor on the other. the problem is that, pulled as tight as possible, the strap requires quite a bit of material under it. anyone got any suggestions other than 1)suck it up and stop bitching or 2)build up a pad with a shitload of foam/tape?
either get the bike mount or use this trick. Take the strap without the buckle and put it through the little rubber loop that normally secures the end of it from flapping on your wrist. Snug that rubber loop around the two straps all the way as tight as you can up against the bottom of the watch. If you look from the side the two straps should be bent all the way over as if you had a size 0 wrist and the rubber loop should be holding them together. It looks sort of like a “Y” with the watch on top. Now use the rest of the strap to put the watch on your bars. It bobbles around a bit when riding, but works fine.
