Is this thing any good? I am looking for a decent bike trainer and there is one of these on ebay. I am a novice biker looking to do some indoor training this winter so I don’t need much, just something reliable & quiet that is going to give me a good workout.

First, what’s your budget?
If you have a few benjamins available - go for quality w/ a good warranty.
I did lotsa research before getting a trainer a few years ago, and narrowed it down to Kurt Kinetic or Cyclops. Called the experts @ Fitwerks, (they’re regularly referenced in the tri mags), and they said go w/ Kinetic fluid trainer. Got it. Love it. No regrets. And then just last year there was a review comparing the 2 - and the Kinetic got the better review.
