I have an approximately four year old set of 10 speed Chorus shifter/brake levers on my rosd bike. Today the rear derailleur shifter started jamming up so that it couldn’t shift at all either up or down. A few jiggles later, it would start to shift normally again.
Is this a minor repair, or should I just junk these puppies?
One of the beauties of Campag is that hese can be rebuilt just have your LBS send it away for repair/rebuild if they can’t resolve it themselves.

You don’t need to replace them, they can be rebuilt by a competent (competent implying experience, wisdom, and everything nice) bike mechanic (easier described than located) with access to the appropriate replacement parts. Ask campy people you ride with if they have a mechanic to recommend, inexperienced mechanics may get most of the nuances the second or third time you bring the bike back but there are people out there who will get it right the first (or second) time.
The symptom you’re describing sounds like the pivot that the thumb button (mouse ear) is on may be rusted (if you can unjam the lever by lifting up on it, then that is probably it). You may be able to defer the rebuild by working some oil into that pivot (it is between the button (mouse ear) and the lever body.
The part itself is inexpensive, as are most ot the parts that usually wear out (suprised?) in those levers. So, if lube doesn’t improve the action (forgive the double entendre), chase down the elusive campy expert in your neck of the woods.
If/when you do find someone to do, they may also suggest replacing index springs agree if they do and if they don’t, suggest they do. Also, If you have more that 5000 miles on the levers consider having the index springs in the other lever replaced as well (and put some lube on the mouse ear pivot on the other lever). And of course, you should replace both shift cables at this time, and you’ll be wanting new bar tape, and maybe it’ll be time to consider…blah,blah, de blah blah blah.
