soooo, I decided to bite the bullet and get my new wheels at my lbs (tired of scouring the classifieds). I was all set on the bontrager race x-lite when I discovered that my shop also builds wheels (much more cost effective, a set of built wheels with DA hubs and campy rims would run 30% less at least).
I was all set on ordering a pair with DA hubs and Open Pro rims (clincher) but the wheelbuilder guy told me he recomments campy rims (can’t remember the model name) as he has had problems with Open Pro rims coming back due to cracks and so on, in his experience campy rims are much more reliable. He recommended 32/32 spokes (or maybe 28 in front, 32 in rear to save weight) and in general seemed pretty knowledgeable about everything.
Having never heard about campy rims I thought I’d ask here about what people thought about them.
