Campy Delta Brakeset - You know you need these

I had never even heard of these before last week. But it seems that a lot of you STers are big fans of these. I just saw this complete set that that is apparently new in the box. I will not be bidding them up lest i take out another mortgage. Frankly, I don’t really like them - but maybe they have to grow on you.

Yeah I remember those! Somewhere I have a set of the competing Shimano aero brakes from around '80. Mine are unfortunately 600AX, not Dura Ace. And they’re definitely used. I do have the Dura Ace flavor of AX hubs, though, on my tandem.

Wow…I used to DROOL over those…now I know that they really didnt work all that well and had the same effect on your bike as rocks in your pocket…but still…those are SOOOOOOOOO nice.

I have a set on my early 80’s Merckx. Be advised that the ones in this auction are “early generation” and they don’t stop for shit. The late generation deltas have a revised internal pivot and they work MUCH better.

Anybody remember Campy Euclid, their first (and last?) MTB gruppo?

No, Record OR came out after that. Now they have Campy “Flat Bar” levers that would go onto a MTN bike at the Chorus level.

SOOOOO sexy. And the whole flap about “they didn’t work well” was played off with the quip “they’re for speed control, not stopping.”

Whatever. They still look sexy.
