Got a campy cassette with a wheel I got used. Unlike shimano, which I am more used to, I cannot find any identifying marks to tell what level it is.
Here is how you can tell the difference between the various 10spd cassettes that are not too old. If it is made of loose cogs, then it is either Veloce or Centaur. It could be possibly be Mirage too, but they are pretty rare. I actually don’t know of any difference between Mirage and Veloce cassettes. The only difference between Veloce and Centaur is that Centaur is a bit shinier because it has a nickel coating on it. If the cassette has spiders that join the larger cogs together in pairs, then it is either Chorus or Record. You can distinguish between Chorus and Record in that the larger cogs on Record are made of titanium and thus a slightly different color.
