From those pictures, it looks like Normann was feeling bloated during the ride. That, or he has good gut going on.
i do believe it is simply his diaphragm expanding to maximize his oxygen intake.
He looked pretty skinny to me in person.
I don’t doubt it. Although, if you can win IMH with a solid gut, that would be doubly impressive in my book.
