I found my pic from Wildflower. It really appears that my camelback is creating some extra drag.
Looks like you are being followed by a UFO. Either that or you have a combat boot and black soccer ball tethered to your back somehow. Oh, and your seat is too high.
doesn’t it have a belt to latch it down?
That is my left Teva. I could not fit it in the bag with my blowup doll.
The seat is now 2mm lower. Seems low now though.

Two shoulder straps, that is it.
seriously? All the backpacks I own (even the cheap Bell) has a belt. If you plan on using it in more races you might want to think about getting one installed. Your local seamstress should be able to attach one easily.
I wonder without having the lower buckle/strap what kind of torque/pressure that is being placed on your shoulders/neck when it is getting flapped around in the wind.
Cripes !!! Strap that baby down and get an aero helmet as well…
Oh, I was not racing. I headed out on the bike course when the pros started the swim. I was just out training and then on the hill to watch.
A waist strap would not do much anyways. My back is very flat with my setup, so anything on it is going to stick up.
I use typical bottles in a race. Also have no use for a pair of Tevas or a blowup doll during my races.
Did you pick that faded yellow for the road stripe? I really hope not…with that and your HUGE goyter it is shocking you even finished.
i read recently that Camelback is working on a revision to the RaceVest. It is much sleeker and compact. Bobby Julich and CSC team are trying it.
