Former Mad Cow mooooooooves his parents and decides to race the race. He just recently won the Half Vineman and got a ton of flack for it…go figure?? 4:03 at the Half Vineman?? hmmmmm should we guess how fast he might finish the Caliman Half?? Well, my guess is that he will break the current record for the Half IM distance, whatever that is…anyone know?? - given his time at the Half Vineman and given the flat and fast race course that the CAliman Half is…of course the fact that he knows this route like the back of his hand will be key to his accomplishment. So, yeah, you guessed it the guy that use to rip up the pavement is going to be back in town to promote the local race. Steve Larsen will be racing and then moooooving his parents to Bend, Oregon on Sunday after the race. Not posted to be ripped on…just thought all you guys would want to know, MJ
I think that’s very cool…certainly looking forward to seeing what his time will be there.
Unlike 1/2 Vineman it appears that the Caliman Half has an Elite Wave. Clearly after SL’s great performance 3 weeks ago you would figure that he is going to start in the Elite Wave.
Steve will be starting in the only wave with you…it is a mass swim start.

I’ve seen a few 1/2IM times near 3:45. Cam Brown had one around 3:45 this year I believe. Certainly under 4 hours is not uncommon, in fact I’m pretty sure SL went under 4 hours at Vineman a few years ago. As did Luke Bell the year after when he went faster than SL’s time.
Disney Half has some pretty fast times. What was Lessing’s time? 3:50ish wasn’t it?
