Californiaman bike training rides?

I thought I saw some info about the mad cows doing some training rides on the californiaman course. I have looked around but can not seem to find. Anyone have any info on these?

I think the Davis Bike Club (www.davisbikeclub.org )/ Mad Cow Tri Team is doing weekly rides of one of the loops each Sunday. Check their ride calendar for info. It generally has contact info. I believe Mary from the Mad Cows who posts here about CaliMan is the ride leader.

Mary, have any info? I know I saw a schedule, but sure can not find any info on the various web sites I have tried.

I will be riding the second loop of the Californiaman on Sunday at 8am…go here for the ride calendar that the Davis Bike Club puts out:

I think that Lydia Delis- Schlosser is going to come out and ride with me…or should I say past me as I ride about 18-20 on the way out and really fast with a tailwind on the way back.

We will be riding the second loop…so come and join us…meet at Russell and A street on in the parking lot adjacent to the Civic center park.

Mary, let me talk to the boss to see what is going on this weekend. I could not find a tri race anywhere so, guess I got to train. My speed goal is in your 18-20 range.

I have the Lake of the pines Tri on that weekend. Since it is in my back yard, got to do it.

Since I have never ridden by bike more than 56 miles in half ironman races, I am not sure if I want to do a 100 miler before the race, since I expect it to nail me.

So, just let me know what your are up to and will see what happens.

Mary, currently plan to be there at 8. I have a green minivan with lots of stickers on the back window.
