Just a few questions about the Garmin foot pod:
-
It seems that instant pacing is a known issue, not sure if doing the following helps. I set the pace to be done by the footpod with the 910XT and the distance with the GPS, I only walked with it once and it seems the pacing is smooth when compared to using the GPS to do the pacing. Doing a few runs with the 910XT using the GPS to do pacing is way too erratic to be useful until they come up with a firmware patch to fix it. Is using the footpod for pacing reliable? I just got the foot pod so not sure if this is the case.

Calibration: I read the reviews from DCrainmaker so have a good sense how to work with it, just a few small things. Once I calibrate (I plan to do the 800 meters at a track) how often do I need to re-calibrate? Also what to do if you move the pod over to another sneaker. I tend to switch between two sneakers, if I move the pod over to the other sneaker, so I have to calibrate all over again? I figure the calibration is more for my gait, stride, etc but was not sure.

Calibration choices: Doing the distance one seems straight forward but it seems that you also have the option to do it via GPS. I am not sure how the latter works and how it compares with the distance method.
Thanks!
