Cali 70.3 hotels--any that are walking distance to start?

Does anyone know which hotels are within walking distance to the race venue? Also on a budget.

There are a ton right near the venue. None really within walking distance, but you dont check the bikes in beforehand- so everyone just bikes to the startr from their hotels- its quite a parade.

look on google near the intersection of carmelo drive and harbor drive in oceanside- there are a bunch of hotels there that are not too expensive, short bike to the start.

There is the one hotel that is right in the beach parking lot, may be full already, but you can definately walk to the swim start from there. As others have said though, lots very close by, and just a couple minute bike ride in the morning, and a lot cheaper. I think I paid about $60 a nite, just minutes from the start. The one on the beach I’m sure is big bucks…

I am renting out my Guest house in Solana Beach for that weekend to racers.
Location is a half block from Fletcher cove. $75 per nite. PM me if you have questions.

If you don’t mind spending 100-200 a night. I would think North Shore Condos would be a good bet. I’ll be staying there for the first time for the race and it seems to be relatively close to the start/finish. We got ours through the Oceanside Beach Vacation Rentals website. Hopefully, it’ll be as advertised. See you at the race.
