- Looking for 650c in something other than 23c (and colours other than black would be nice too)
- Suggestions on clinchers that have worked well for you, Conti 4000, Mich ProRace2?
I’m fairly new to tris, rode ProRace last year with no complaints…

IMO, Michelins are the way to go for clinchers. I have ProRaces on all my road bikes and have for many years. I run tubs on my race bike.
Check out Biketiresdirect.com. They seem to have good selection and prices.
Tks, yeah they definitely have v good prices, it just seems that 650 x 23c is the only option, not that it’s a bad one, just would like to have a choice.
I have used Michelin Pro Race for quite a few years now and they are a great all-round tire.
or probikekit.com is even cheaper.
Good selection and they are cheaper, plus free delivery to the US, thanks.
Have been very happy with probikekit and things come much faster than I imagined, returning something was not even that bad - $ 5 and change for postage to the UK I think
.
Do you know if we get hit by duties on purchases from the UK? I would imagine there would be a charge for that, or up to a certain amount is duty-free?
I’ve ordered tires, cleats, etc., from probikekit a few times (I’m in the U.S.), and have never been hit with duties. Less than $250 total, though, so whether or not there is a cutoff amount that is duty free I don’t know.
I did order a chain from them that never arrived at my house. Took a couple of weeks and 3 emails to get them to credit my card, but they did the right thing eventually. I would still buy from them again.

Varies. I don’t know what on, but it seems to vary? I had great success thru Biketiresdirect.com
http://www.worldclasscycles.com/ is a good source for clincher or tubulars
Happy Holidays

My LBS couldn’t believe how cheap they sell tires. I’ve bought Conti GP4000’s and Mich Pro RaceII’s. They both have been great. I think I prefer the Michelins. A bit better ride.
