Where do you guys buy derailleur wire online long enough for your aero-bars.
I usually go to my LBS, and they have to wheel out a real long amount for me, which I take back home and install.
The normal packages for Shimano Derailler wire ONLINE aren’t long enough because of my aero-bar distance back to the rear, and I ride a 59/60 cm frame. Anyway they were so busy this morning, they weren’t really energetic about helping me out (I do pay 8-12 bucks for just that one rear wire)
But question: where the hell can I buy long enough derailleur wire to reach back there from an aero setup. I guess I coud email Nytro or Trisports.
Google “tandem bicycle dealers,” and you should be able to find a source, or try asking for it specifically from whatever your favored mail order house might be…
Beats going back and forth to the LBS asking for wire again. Because I will fray that bastard, if keep putting it in and out of housing and getting it just right.

Why do you need to continually remove cable from the housing to get it just right? And just a little semantic thing, but derailleur cables are “cables” not “wires”.

Speaking of fraying, buy some good cable cutters too. A lot of tandem cables are dual ended (campy one side/shimano other) and you have to cut off the end you don’t need. W/out good cutters, you’re almost assured a frayed cable to start with.
How much difference is there between the length of cable you need to get to the end of an aerobar vs to loop over to an STI shifter? I never had any cable length issues, although I do ride a smaller frame.
