The ‘Smart Balance Omega Plus’ spread is pretty darn good. And, it is has no trans fats and is supposed to increase our HDL. AND, the plant sterols have been shown to reduce cholesterol modestly.
It would be some work, but I could make my own butter out of milk.
If I wanted to make my own margarine, I would have to find a way to manipulate vegitable oil at the molecular level (to make partially hydroginated v.o.)
That stuff is actually good for you. If it has hydroginated fat in it, stay away. if you have no cholesteral issues, just eat the butter in moderate amounts.
Why don’t you do your own research. Just google it and spend the time to read. It is just easier to ask people to digest the inforamtion for you I suppose. Use the KY Jelly, it will do you good.
Butter here. I just think the body knows how to handle it. I know… That’s a debate that I’m not going to get into on this forum. But trans-fats… No gonna go there.
land o lakes, unsalted butter. a little goes a long long way–it’s very gratifying. make sure it’s unsalted sweet cream. salt can act like a preservative, and who needs that in butter.
there are some good organic butters as well (my favorite butter though is land o lakes, they’ve perfected it!)
margarine is weird. as a foodslut, you most certainly should ditch the marg…it’s shit, most foodies would agree
