Busted foot! What to do?

OK, after Hawaii 70.3, I finally went to see a doc about the nagging pain on the top of my left foot, just as it meets my ankle. After an exam and X-ray, doc says probably a stress response or stress fracture, and wants me to leave his office on crutches. We compromise on an orthopedic boot, which I wore for a day and will wear as much as I can. MRI and a CT scan to follow later this week. Question: I want to use the running/biking downtime to attack swim training. If I mix it up over the next few weeks/month with intervals some days, drills on others, long sessions etc, am I wrong to swim every day?

Have fun swimming! After my last few showings at the TripleT and Rockman, I think I need a foot injury so I can’t run and force me into the pool as well…
