Bush has major brain fart!

Not kidding…

(just a little post to rile up the masses)

Well I had a chance to see F-9/11 movie last night and I would have to say that the President has been having Brain Fart after Brain Fart for years now. So, no news here.

History will look on Dubya as the greatest President ever. Kind of like Reagan.

If you bought that movie your having a brain fart. It has been well discounted and shown to be a marvel of creative editing and his imaginiation. I will see it someday when I feel like a good laugh and I can find someone to loan me a copy on DVD.

Bush has a brain???

I’m with you. I really want to see the movie out of curousity, but I don’t want to help that pompous fatass get any richer.

So many people get into and graduate from Yale without brains… So true! like little Jenna…it helps if your daddy, grandaddy and great grandaddy are/were all major contributors…and members of Skull and Bones.

It’s true that Moore sensationalizes the delivery of the information in his Docs. However, it must be true because there are no libelous lawsuits out there that I know of against what is said in the movie. It’s all out there in the public domain.

There are some pretty strong accusations made at not just the President, but the other members of the Bush family. One would think that the minute anything was said that was not true, there would be some form of legal action taken, but to date there has not none.

Oustanding. Post of the day!

Thank You.

So many people get into and graduate from Yale without brains…

I completely disagree with your comment. I graduated from Yale in 2003, getting masters and bachelors degrees in Biochemistry and Biophysics magna cum laude and phi beta kappa in 4 years at the ripe age of 21, as well as being a member of the varsity swim team, water polo team, Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and various music groups. Therefore, I consider myself well qualified to say that I knew students from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Are there kids below the Yale average in brains? Yes, due to athletic admissions, legacies, etc. there are some people that get in who wouldn’t otherwise have gotten into Yale. However, being below the Yale average still means 1400+ SATs and 4.0s in high school, so I’m guessing that there aren’t "so many people getting into and graduating from Yale without brains. I can honestly say that it is no walk in the park to just graduate from Yale, as tremendous work needs to be put in to pass, as well as for assignments such as a senior essay, which require a grade of B to pass. And, unlike schools such as Stanford and Duke, athletes go NO breaks. That is one of the major criticisms I have of Yale. Basically, you are a student like any other student there; you have the same academic requirements, the same living conditions, food etc., but then you have an extra 4-5 hours of athletic practice today that usually has to be scheduled around your other classes.

Now, as for Bush, I don’t want to argue politics, but I think Bush has done a fine job. He definitely is not nearly as articulate as Clinton or even Gore, and often does make some inane comments. However, in no way do I believe he is stupid. I am a terrible speaker and have poor writing skills, but I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent. I didn’t actually vote in the last election (probably one of 5 people at Yale to make this claim), although I found it interesting that about 92% of the Yale student vote went for Gore, 5% for Nader, and 3% for Bush. Now, I don’t know where my vote will go this year, but seeing as how Kerry has picked Edwards, and my being in medical school, I’m guessing that I don’t want to support someone who has made their living off malpractice cases, who has refused to take a case in which he couldn’t win more than a million dollars. I don’t intend to start any flames with this post, but I was pretty insulted by Brian286’s post.

If you are being sarcastic, and are implying that GWB got into Yale on his merits, you are nuts. His SAT scores weren’t nearly good enough by themselves, I doubt he had any athletic skills, and I doubt that his academic record in high school was up to it, either. He got into Yale because of his last name, pure and simple.

Found an interesting quote from 1999, which seems apropos today:

But as Bruce Buchanan, a political scientist at the University of Texas in Austin, says, “Bush is trying to turn his weakness into a virtue. He’s not a policy wonk, so he has to rely on people who are.” And there is a risk to that approach, adds Buchanan, who is an admirer: “Bush’s biggest weakness is that he might not be in a position to discern the credibility of the options his advisers lay out for him.”

Hope they have a course in “Modesty for Yale graduates” at your medical school. Actually I was pretty impressed with your resume until you got to the part “Bush has done a fine job”

Maybe you’ll become a nice, modest orthopedic surgeon and continue to be impressed with W’s fine Iraq foreign policy work as you develop artificial limbs for the thousands of amputees “graduating” from Walter Reed hospital in the next few years.

Ummmmm don’t they teach sarcasm at Yale anymore?

(Brians on your side dude)

Buy a ticket for another movie, like Spiderman 2 which is more realistic, and then walk into the F. 911 theatre.

I’m with you. I really want to see the movie out of curousity, but I don’t want to help that pompous fatass get any richer.

It’s kind of like how I wonder why people would vote for pussy democrats.

Sorry for the resume, I was just trying to show that I had close contact with all sorts of different people around Yale. And sorry for missing the sarcasm. I guess we all make brain farts sometimes. This is actually the first time I’m every argued politics, and I’ll admit that I have very limited experience and have done very little research into politics. My philosophy has been that all of the politicians are 99.9% the same, so there isn’t going to be too major of a difference between any of them. Therefore, as my parents are involved in law and medicine, I usually just get political advice from them. Now, are there things I think Bush could have done differently? Absolutely. I despise his policy on stem cell research, and would be glad to have Kerry in office to lift that ban, although I don’t agree with many of his policies either. Now, do I agree with his Iraq policy? I don’t know if it was our place to go into Iraq and yes, many innocent people are getting killed, and I could easily be sent over if it comes to a draft in the future. But, millions of innocent people were already getting killed over there. Should we sit idly by while this happens? I can’t say that I know the answer. We sat idly by while millions of jews were being slaughtered in the 40s, and with today’s technology, that can bring deadly force right to our doorstep, and post 9/11, we had pretty good reason to get involved in the fight.

Now, I truly believe that we should put far more of an effort into developing rival fuels to oil, as taking away all of their money by destroying their business will put the countries financially supporting terrorists far more out of commission than any military intervention we can throw at them.

SSN,

Everyone is blaming Bush. Who do you think would have done a better job??? Bush did what he did with 100% support from Congress, the people that run our Country, remember? But now the Democrats want to turn tail and act like they were against the military action. Typical Politicians

I’m sure you’ll be voting for Kerry in the next election - God help us if he wins the election:

This is a man that DENOUNCED his military service.
This was a man who had an alliance with the treason queen herself who was famous for BEFRIENDING the enemy.
This is a man who was the HEAD of the antiwar movement.
This is a man who not only called for, but embraced the idea of men to DODGE the draft and move to Canada.
This is a man who called for men to turn their back on their country.
This is a man that called combat murder.
This is a man that now embraces what he once denounced and is now **considered **a war hero. **(Even though he was never shot, never went into a hospital, but was given 5 phony medals) **
This is a man who once called his fellow war veterans baby killers, but is now proud that he himself killed while in combat.
This is a man that is despised by the veterans of foreign wars organization (but now loved by SOCIALIST France and Italy)
This is a man who could become our president?
This is a man that, according to the national democratic committee, if he really wants to win, will name Hillary as his running mate.

I saw F 9/11. It was the subject of a previous thread on this forum to which I contributed. If you can cull all of the posts from people who hadn’t seen the movie (i.e. “DON’T SEE IT!”, “IT’S ALL LIES!!!”, “MICHAEL MOORE IS FAT!”), you’ll quickly pick up on some of the controversies.

With respect to the “facts”, the film is done as a documentary with actual footage and interviews. In that sense, it all “true”. Of course Moore is able to pick and choose what to include to present his unapologetically anti-Bush/anti-war message. There was an astounding amount of footage that you have probably never seen before (and you may wonder, “why have I not seen this?”)

*did he present a Hollywood story? *I’m not exactly sure what you mean, but at times it is VERY funny and at other times very sad. I got good entertainment value for my 10 bucks. ymmv.

Commended for “doing something to stop the tyrants of the world”. You mean Tyrant (singular). So one down, est. 55 more tyrants to go. Which ones do you think we should go after next? Seeing how we’re bringing democracy to the third world and all?

I’m thinking that Sudan (actually all of Africa except for So. Africa), most of Asia and in particular No. Korea, and a lot of Latin America (so we can finish the War on Drugs) should be next. Heck, why don’t we just go after Syria and Iran next just to keep our troops warm since we’re just about finished in Iraq - you know, making them democratic.
