Burrito Union 10 Hour Tri (1)

Anyone doing this? http://www.burritounion10hourtri.com/

I know it is not as cool as IMW but it’s sort of cool, right?

My wife and I are on a team. I S,B- she runs.

Hope to get 84 miles on the B and 3,600 meters of swimming. Not a bad Saturday.

That’s on my list of “todo” races, but kinda conflicts with IMoo for this year. Hopefully next year.

Have fun and make sure you post a race report!

anyone know any other races like this? Preferably in the northeast region of the country?

I think it’d be something cool to do with a 2 person team

Awesome Race.

I did a short race report after the race in 2007.

Would definately like to do this one again some year! Very cool grass roots type event.

I think this would be a blast to do one day. Rod Raymond is a stitch.

are you doing the 3 person relay with 2 people?..looking at the division rules the 2 person division requires that each person to a full triathlon and alternate…

Two-person demonstration team. That division you are unable to win awards, you can complete any leg(s) you wish.

Works out perfectly since my wife can’t S/B.

Not too concerned, we weren’t going to win anyhow.

Argggg. I signed up early this year before I knew I’d be moving to Vancouver beforehand. I had hoped to do my first Burrito Union and still make it back to volunteer for IMWI. Instead I’m stuck in the Starbucks of an unfamiliar city, searching for jobs and distracting myself with ST

I was thinking of doing it with my wife one year…but she does not swim…

hmmmmmmmm…I wonder if they would allow 2 people in the 3 person relay division…I would swim each time and we would swap off the biking and running legs…next year we will have a baby so we might be able to swap off and watch the kid while the other one does their thing…No, we would not be very serious about it…

You should do it Steve-Oh! I wouldn’t do the 3 person because I think its $60 more or something to the like. If you are just going to have fun- sign up for the demonstration division.

I asked the same question to the organizers. You CAN sign up for the three person team (team mate #3 being you or your wife again) but didn’t think an extra tee justified $60.

I’ll be there. I’m soloing the 10-hour hoping to knock out 8 loops (would end up being 3mi swimming, 112mi biking, 24.8mi running).

Looks simple enough on paper but beyond 4.5 hours I’ll be completely into the unknown so it could very well turn into an epic trainwreck.

Best of luck to you!
