Bunnyman institute updates

Hey kids!!! I have some interesting new developments from the hallowed halls of the bunnyman institute.

As you know, I have gotten into RC cars. This will not impede development of bunnyman institute bicycle products. I now have a 1/10 scale electric touring car AND a 1/10 nitro touring car. Carbon fibre components that I will develop for these WILL translate into future developments for bicycles, especially when it pertains to the cooling aspects (i.e. armrests). Nitro cars in particular have unique cooling requirements, none of which are met with current products on the market. Most racers provide cool air to the nitro engines by cutting a hole in the windshield, hardly a great solution when aerodynamics are concerned (and at speeds in excess of 60 mph, this SHOULD be a concern).

I am still going to make a one-piece handlebar, which will be built for stiffness rather than lightweight. Light weight will be (hopefully) a side-effect, but product durability will be first. After testing next year, the bar will be available as a 100% bespoke product with width and extension bend and length being customer specified, as well as stiffness (stiff, Xtra stiff, and bloody fuckin’ hell that’s stiff!!! layups). Projected price is yet to be determined, and other additional options will be available as quoted.

The replacement bracket for the Minoura has been shelved indefinitely, as the bracket could easily break if over-tightened. Unless I were to sell a torque wrench with each bracket (which would exponentially increase the price), I would end up replacing 50% or more units through customer breakage, and I do not wish to risk my reputation on that. I may consider doing an aluminium version later.

Mould-making material is back-ordered, so I will apologise to all of you who have been waiting for projects and prototypes.

Pft…Talk to me once you hit 1/4 scale
