Damn that sucks! Where did you hear that? I just checked their website and didn’t see any cancellation info. I imagine it’s canceled because of wind? I’m in Boston and it’s howling here and I was on Mt. Adams (a couple peaks away from Washington) 2 weeks ago and was nearly blown off the mountain during a rainstorm. Easily 50+ mph gusts. Sorry to hear about no refund : (

Yup. They said here was icing near the summit. A little disappointed they called Sunday off at 7am Saturday. Weather there is unpredictable, they at least could have waited till Saturday pm, and put something out on the web. Maybe next year. We all knew the policy when we signed up, so that’s how it goes.
I feel like a loser, because last night I picked up a Mt. Washinton Hill climb cycling jersey as a souvenier. Now I have a $75 rag to polish my bike.
I am in Laconia now and I hope the Timberman people get some warmer temps than this morning (59 degree in Laconia) for their race.
Too bad about your athletes. There is a Whiteface Climb in September (see bikereg.com). Maybe that could be a fallback.
