Does anyone know of a good source to order CO2 cartridges in bulk?
Looking for threaded CO2 cartridges, but can’t find bulk purchases for less than $3/cartridge. (As a reference point, 1-2 sites I found have non-threaded in 10, 20, 50, even 100 for as low as $1.20 per cartridge).
$1.75 each if you buy more than 10.This is the best that I have found. I was thinking about trying to cut some threads on an unthreaded cartridge. Not sure if it would work or if it would blow up. That would save about 40 cents a cartridge.
Welll, good point. I wasn’t really looking for 20 and 50 quant. boxes necessarily. I guess I’m just a tightwad or sorts…$3/per just seems a bit high and I’ve heard the CO2 cartridges are much more expensive when purchased at a cycling item.
Maybe I’m just wasting more time looking for a bargain than I’ll save, so I appreciate keeping me in perspective.

Unthreaded are more like 60 cents in qty 25 or 50. Google ‘crossman daisy co2 cartridge’. WalMart is probably somewhat competitive with those online prices at least in some places. At that price, using an inflater that can handle unthreaded is well worth it for me.
I agree, I pick up mine at a local sporting goods store. I get 50 for $30, so the same rate. I have a threaded inflator somewhere in the bike box that I take on airplane trips because it is hard to pick up threadless at expos.
I use a threadless inflator and buy mine at Walmart. They are by far the cheapest place locally for me to buy them. I just buy a big box of 25 when needed. I use to be able to get the 16g size but now they only carry the 12g size which is fine by me.
The one thing that I do do is I have drilled out the bottom of the holder and I put the cartridge in backwards so that I do not hit the trigger and waste an CO2. When I need to change a flat, I just unscrew the trigger from the body, flip over the cartridge and screw it down to pierce the opening.
