its also the age group world champion chip next year
Oh snap…
see you there! ![]()
If there’s no open age group race in addition to AG world’s, then not sure I’ll make the trip… But there must be one? Otherwise they’d be giving up on at least 10000 entries.
I’m sure you can race for Poland. They never fill their slots.
Had the pleasure to be drowned by 3 of them in the Olympic Euros in Vichy a couple years ago, before they decided to move on a TTT on the bike…
As an Italian triathlete I imagine you must’ve thought their TTT on the bike was too sloppy ![]()
Triathlon Poland charges over €600 for world champs slots to short course races, so… if I ain’t getting fleeced by IM, I ain’t getting fleeced by PZTri either.
oh wow - Italian federation makes you register at cost depending on what LOC asks.
And no…it was not draft legal, but there was no motos with refs to check…it was also raining hard and the organization “forgot” to close the course to local traffic. Probably one if not the worst organized ETU race I’ve ever done.
this will have an impact on relay qualification
“Russian officials have repeatedly denied the existence of a state-backed doping programme”.
Yes, they’re unrepentant despite the mountain of (public) evidence, and the reasons for the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee (recognition of illegal “regional” Committes in occupied parts of Ukraine) are still present, so why not just let them rip.
After all, we can’t let FIFA be the most shameless corrupt sports organisation in the world can we!
Signed, IOC
back to Hamburg Sunday will have the first relay qualification slot on the line for the winner ( not that is really matters as the winner will qualify 2 males and females anyway , but still )
I would say Germany in a good spot to win the world champs ,they will have their best team, but france uk australia and potentially usa should be in the mix.
the single races have very strong fields and without beaugrand it should be a nail bitter on the run.
I dont think wilde will be on the podium but still great to see him back.
World Tri’s social media game is outstanding these days.
USA does not need to qualify a relay team. As host nation, they are already guaranteed a place on the start line in Venice Beach.
I listend to this and I have to say I wish I had not . Will is a very good commentator but his short course knowledge is just not good enough to go deeper into it. On a pod like this is can’t be that 2 out of three have no notion about the tactics the dutch have used rather successfully in the relay.
Their talking that every 12 weeks a new crop of athletes arrive was a bit silly to be fair.
also there was surprise with mansson to get to the podium this year that was a very clear trajectory over the last few years. rant over lol
to me that was a podcast that was sceduled but nobody wanted to do and was a bit of bro talk .
to add the one interesting bit was that connix has never been on the podium in Hamburg, that did suprise me.
I don’t think many people with knowledge as deep as yours will be in the audience. And the entertainment value alone justifies putting the episode on my list!
I certainly get that the want to widen the audience, and thats a good thing , but you can still be entertaining and good ,like for Wollongong they where massively prepared.
and to be honest I dont think a newcomer would get their generaration discussion points in that episode?
but for instance what would have been interesting is to point out that the Netherlands has no funding for solo athletes and all the funding is for the relay for this cycle . They thought that no dutch athletes have a chance to medal ( despite kingama was something like 11 th in Tokyo and 7th in Paris, and likely that was a good part making her to leave triathlon ),
WTCS London start lists
USA women coming mob-handed.
