What advice to you guys have for the course?
I’ll be there. I love this race.
My advice, get a lot of hill work at the hottest part of the day!

This is my 5th HIM and I did IM CDA in '05.
I have heard that this course is somewhat viewer unfriendly, very leg unfriendly and downright hostile to shade.

I’m in. Third time at this race (96 and 2006). I am really looking forward to this event. It is well run, and challenging.

If one rides a bike, it’s easy to get around to various sections along the course to cheer on the friends. This part on the run course (between two hills) is well shaded and can see the athletes going out and coming back.
I’m in. 2nd time to do it. A great race!

You guys are in for a real beating! If anyone here thought they were going to go out and take the age group race, I just say HAHAHAHA! Because you don’ t know me… Which by the way is totally unimportant, because I will be back there getting my ass handed to me as well.
Now Paw, on the other hand, is where I would put my money.
Seriously Paw, sub 4:10 this year??? Good racing to you, and see you at the finish. (I am assuming that you will have gone back to the hotel, showered, nappped, and make it back around when I finish:-) )

C’mon Paul, I’ll be on my couch and watching your times. How about,
Swim: 32…I’d like to see 28 min so you are not so far back from front of AG
Bike: 2:35…I know you can go faster, but at what price
Run: 1:25…Go for it
Time: 4:35, to be somewhere between 3-6 in AG
By the way, as a shareholder of your company, please work more and post less

I am actually hoping for 32, 2:30, 1:27 - for a 4:33 total. I went 4:28 there in '96, but I just don’t think I am at that level any more. That makes the one slot to Kona possible, but NOT probable. It all depends on who shows up, and if I can deliver. I’ll keep you posted on the results.

Hmmm…Kevin from GW is racing down there too and is in great shape this year. Now that could be a good race!
