Anyone thinking of trying these when they release Oct. 1? I’ve had good luck with the Ghost + launch from them. Based off the Launch platform and trying to fit the minimalist niche. Thoughts?
I’m definitely giving these a shot. I’m in Kinvaras right now and from what I hear, they’re similar. I like that Brooks is jumping on the minimalist train. I hope they do a good job with this line.
What’s this! I’m not the only runner here?! In all seriousness, I just got into a pair of mirage/kinvara’s and I’ve fallen in love. Our local running store is having a release party and the rep will be there. I’ve talked to him a few times and I’m hoping I can swoon my way into a new pair of them. I’d be pretty amped to see if they are as solid as there other shoes. I worry that the kinvara’s won’t stand up to my 500+ miles. I just can’t put shoes away until 1. they hurt my feet or 2. they look worn out.

I’m on my second pair of Kinvaras right now and they are quite an amazing shoe. Light, fast, and relatively durable. I was exclusively in Brooks before I switched to Kinvaras, using the Glycerin and scaling down to the Launch. Kinvaras were the next logical step down. Now that Brooks has something along those lines (Launch had the best comfort/speed combo for me), I’ve gotta give it a spin. As long as they’ll work with Yankz and I can get them on in under 5 seconds, they’re getting a shot.
I’ll definately be giving the pure project a try. I’ll probably have to wait for my next trip to the states to pick them up however. I’ve run in Brooks almost as long as I can remember and am a big fan.
A girl in the kzoo area I know was testing the trail pair and when I saw they were split like a camel toe (giggity). That design has changed and she’s got a final pair coming her way. I wish I would have taken picks. I’m almost as excited about shoes as people are about the new Shiv. I’m hoping the pure project is a better shoe then the Green Silence. I never got into that shoe. I did however LOVE the T7 for HIM’s. That shoe is so light it should be illegal. Unfortunately they have the same life span as a Nike Maylfy. It was good for 4 halfs and they are now a short tempo or track shoe (I hate spikes, I have finicky little nancy heels that blister easily…).
How do you feel about the first gen colors? I think the aqua marine will take time to grow on me…
First generation colours look pretty sweet to me. Hopefully the second generation are brighter and more in your face.
I had the chance to-briefly-try a pair when they were shown to use earlier this year. I liked the rounded heel on the shoe, it would be very difficult to heel strike in these shoes. They feel a bit like the Kinvara, but the base of support feels narrower and as I already noted you feel a difference in the heel.
Looking forward to putting a few miles in a pair.
I’m a pretty loyal brooks guy and got my pre-ordered pair of the pure connect today. they look great and feel great on my feet, psyched to get out of work and give them a test run!

I want to try them, but was told that they won’t work with an orthotic. I may wait until after my marathon and then start adding them in slowly.
I just ordered a pair today. Cant wait to try them out and get running!

I’ll try the Connect and Flow…if they feel good I’m counting on the Flow for training and Connect for race day if they’re better than the T7’s (which may be impossible)

Launch user… got nearly 600 miles on my last pair… mainly due to unemployment… but I digress. I will be getting the Pure Flow as soon as I possibly can. From what I understand through a local retailer, that should be October 1st. Def by the 4th.
I will definitely try them. Been running in the Launch the last 18 months first the bright orange, then the black and just got my 3rd pair today in the new white/green lace/blue sole color. Love them and after seeing the Pure Project ads the last 2 months, I am looking forward to trying these. But, I hope they keep making the Launch for years to come as these are my shoe.
I saw pairs at Dicks Sports just this week. I didnt buy them yet, btu will certainly try them once the currrent launches give up the ghost…
