I predicted this last fall in one of the Palin threads. No surprises here.
At least Bristol was able to make $300,000 selling baby photos to People magazine. She won’t have some of the troubles other single mothers have.
Plus, now that her mom has fixed all her back tax issues, she can concentrate on the 2012 presidential campaign.

Not that it’s important to my life, but I figured they never planned on getting married when she had the baby and he went off to work somewhere while saying they’d marry “later.” They had a kid for crying out loud. If they planned on getting married, why not get married as soon as they became engaged?
Why am I even commenting? Because Palin held herself out as somehow being more virtuous than the rest of us. She pimped her entire family out during the campaign. SHE put her family and her child-rearing “skills” at issue. Then after announcing to the world that her teenaged daughter was pregnant she spun it into something she probably knew it wasn’t. Those poor kids had to keep up the “we’re in love; we’re getting married” charade just for mommy’s political purposes. (My opinion, obviously. I know many of the R’s here have a different opinion. Of course, those opinions would likely be 180 degrees different if this happened in, say, the Obama family.)
Also, if this hadn’t happend to Palin’s family but happened to some other family I’ll bet Palin would have been happy to entertain us with her opinions on how the family obviously didn’t impress a sufficient “abstinence only” education on their child. Again, just an educated guess.
P.S. I had also thought Levi was a dumb-ass based on his myspace crap and other things. Now that it appears he has backed out of a marriage that was doomed to failure he seems like a more reasonable guy. I sincerely hope he pays child support and helps raise his child. I also think Bristol is a beautiful young lady and I hope she is able to break free from mommy’s agenda and be her own person. Based on her nation-wide interview a while back I think she’s on her way. Good luck to her.

The whole Sarah Palin conservative Republican hypocrisy is what blows me away. Preaching abstinance and family values to the American heartland while her daughter is knocked up. I’m sure they had no intention of ever getting married but played along with mom’s political campaign at Sarah’s insistance.
Shocking!! Truly a shocking turn of events!! Whoever could have predicted this potential scenario playing out?
OTOH, at least these kids are smart enough not to shoehorn a marriage just because there’s a kid involved. I hope they both learned something that will server them in the future.

I entered the Lord’s hizouse all the time when I was younger. I am still ok.
