Bridging the Gap, Alum vs Carbon Aero Rims

The only aero penalty the fairing type wheels have is the transition between the rim and the tire. Mating the rim to the tire via angled brake tracks as seen on the Zipp 101 and Flo 30 seem like the next logical step to bring the aero performance of Hed/Flo to the fastest carbon clinchers.

Why doesn’t Hed or Flo add a fairing to an angled brake track rim like the Flo30?

It’s expensive is what I have heard. Making angled aluminum requires special tools and lots of mone. I would like to see Zipp bring back their aluminium brake track with the Firecrest design.
