Breath Right Nose Strip question!

Can anyone tell me if the breath right nose strips will stay on for a open water swim. 1,500 meters. Never had tried and havnt got the time to go somewhere to do it before the race this weekend.

I dont think a pool would be a good way to test it becuase of the chemicals in it. Im sure they would react with the stip adhesive differently than fresh water.

Any imput is appreciated. dont want to waste the money if they will not stay on.

thanks

Any answer you get will be prefaced with “it depends.”

It depends on your skin type, primarily. I have oily skin… I try to sleep with them and one side just peels off in the night. Does your nose sweat? Can you put them on while your skin is clean and dry, or will you get there after you’ve already lathered up in sunscreen?

Buy a small box. If it sucks, you can use the rest of the pack at night the next time you have a head cold.

Normal skin. Probably will bring some rubbing alcohol to clean face before applying. Nose does not sweat. Forehead does though of course. So is there anyone out there that currently uses these during the swim?

I dont want to look like a knucklehead being the only one.

You came to the wrong forum, friend… ridiculing vanity is what we do here!

Nice! What was I thinking? I just dropped $260 on a tri suit and I am worried about spending $5 bucks on nose strips that may not work.

Where is the sanity?

open mouth
breathe good
=)
.

At race pace, when will you be breathing through your nose?

shoot at race pace im going to be breathing through my eyes, ears, mouth, nose, ass you name it.

I’ve worn them for full IM with no problems. Wipe nose clean and put on.

FYI - I find it really helps having one on to race when I have sinus allergies flare up.

Try this instead.
