My favorite is a big bowl of müesli and cereals with cut fruit (banana, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, pineapple, mango, papaya, whatever fruit I have at home :). I prepare a huge bowl of cut fruits and leave in the fridge or add the cereal and soy milk and then leave in the fridge… it lasts about 2-3 days (when I don’t have it at night again ![]()
I’ve been using this recipe to make breakfast bars. Much better than anything you can buy since there are no preservatives or corn syrup. It only takes me about 15 minutes to make a whole batch.

ok–i haven’t made muffins in a long time, but it goes something like this (I can make them over the weekend and post tweaks if anyone is interested, etc)
The main thing to remember is that the base is the mix–i like Jiffy muffin mix, because they are basic and you can do alot to them without upsetting anything. or of course, if intersted, make up your own base mix, that isn’t hard or complicated either.
Peanut butter bran muffin 2 pkgs. Bran w/Dates Muffin Mix (Jiffy, or whatever you like) 1/3 cup unsalted sweet butter, room temp 1 egg 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (add more if you desire) 1/4 cup of yogurt (plain/peach/whatever) 1/4-1/2 cup of vitamin D milk (depends how wet batter is, should be slightly thicker than cake batter) muffins are something that doesn’t have to be perfect. if you get an idea, try it out. the main thing is to have a batter that’s a touch thicker than cake batter. fill muffin cup only 1/2 way, or a touch over that. variations: carrot bran muffin carrots: finely chop 3-5 baby carrots use carrots instead of peanut butter 1/2-3/4 cup of buttermilk instead of yogurt and regular milk cinnamon, vanilla extract, etc variations: apple bran muffin add can of sliced apples 1 can of condensed milk instead of regular milk and yogurt vanilla extract apple pie spice
variations: cheesecake bran muffin add ricotta cheese instead of peanut butter 1/2 tablespoon of cream cheese (needs to be room temp, add more if desired) dallop of sour cream instead of yogurt 1/2 cup (or maybe slightly less, depends on consistency of batter) of regular milk lemon zest to cut the creaminess and vanilla syrup this batter can be made up and stored in the fridge. same thing with pancake batter, waffle batter. a waffle maker is a good investment–take less than 5 minutes to make a waffle if batter is already made. and there are ways to kick up the batter to make it healthier. ![]()
and i just thought of pumkin bran muffins…that would be good to, and easy. replace the peanut butter with pumpkin, add pumpkin pie spice, skip the yogurt or the milk (pumpkin is very wet, so there will be no need for all of that liquid from both milk and yogurt one or the other is fine)
recipes!
definite cat treats for you
Can you be my Mommy ? : )
I am never hungry when I wake up and I am really lazy but since I know the importance of breakfirst I do this drink :
1 egg
1 banana
yogourt or frozen fruits (ususally rasberries)
milk
shake it with a Brown Mixer… you just need to rinse it.
If I get hungry at work, usually around 10 AM, I make a bagel with extra low fat Phidadelphia cheese and a yogurt.
Fast and simple… hope it helps
