I recently bought a new rear wheel. It came with cartridge/insert type
pads. Where can I find the pad/shoe holder for my shimano brakes. I
currently have molded (1 piece) pads. Thanks in advance!
Your LBS should have them. Companies that make what you’re looking for include Shimano, Tektro, Kool Stop just to name a few. Just be sure that you get the ones that accept the cartridge style brake pads.
We have the Shimano 6600 ones in our store which retail for $31 or $21 for the Tektro ones to give you a rough idea.
Thanks for the info. I would go to my lbs but they are jackoffs. They couldn’t help themselves out of a wet paper bag. So I don’t support them. Next closest store is a bit away. I do most of my shopping online.
Give us a call or shoot me a PM if you want to buy them from us. I would buy the Tektros since they’re cheaper and hold the same pad style as the Shimanos. They’re not on our website as it’s more common for people to need them when they come in for a tune-up.
