Brake levers w/strong return springs

Anyone used all of 'em out there? Wondering which one has the strongest or a really strong spring.

talking about levers for aerobars, btw.

Bontrager levers will damn near take a finger off. The only problem I’ve had to work through with them is to make sure my hands aren’t too far forward. Because of where the hinge is it can close back on the skin between your thumb and index finger.

I have PD QS2’s that work well. Also have Tektro carbon levers that also are very good.

Bontragers are the best. This was discussed in a recent Triathlete Mag article with there custom $14,000 build.

I have some new ones for sale??!!!

what build was that? is there anywhere online i can see the specs of this build?

Profile Design makes a great brake lever with a good return spring. I think it is the OS2 model, that is what I use.

I second the vote for the Tektro carbons. Pretty sure they’re made in the same factory as the Profile Design carbon levers since they look IDENTICAL.

Echo the Bontrager XXX-lite Aero Lever. Quite strong.

Looks like they come in carbon and aluminum, I don’t really care about weight…so which ones almost took your finger off?

I have the plain alloy ones. I would guess that the carbon levers have the same return spring but I can’t find much information about them doing a quick search.

I had problems with my Zero Gravity brakes until I installed the bontrager levers.
