Boulder Colorado Hiking and Mt. Biking

I am getting out of Maine this weekend for a three day solo trip to Boulder. Can anyone recommend an awesome hike or Mt. Bike trip out there or in the surrounding area.

Thanks

There are just tons and tons of trails for hiking and mountain biking right outside of Boulder. Here are a couple…

Hike - Chautauqua Park to Eldorado State Park

Switzerland Trail

You can always stop by a LBS and get some more beta when you get here… They should have maps etc as well…

Anywhere in the Rocky Mountain National Park is great. I’ll be there with the wife and in-laws myself this weekend.

You might take a peak here http://www.trailcentral.com/trail/index.php?county=Boulder&state=CO I would also second a trip by the LBS for some insight depending on how long and hard you want to go. As for a hike, there are so many in Boulder, Lyons, Estes Park that you pretty much just take a pick. Rocky Mountain National Park is a great place if you have never been. We will probably be up there Sunday too for a relaxing drive in the jeep.

By the way, weather is supposed to be great this weekend. Have fun!

Mike-

I work at Cutting Edge Sports Bicycle Shop in Boulder. We are at the corner or Broadway and Baseline (near Chataqua Park). Come in and myself or any of the other staff would be happy to point you in the direction of a fun ride or hike. Hope you enjoy your stay here!!

Thanks for the awesome links…you guys rock. Psyched to experience Boulder if only for three days.
