I’m changing my Campy Chorus crank on my road bike for an FSA Energy compact I got cheap. My problem is that it is ISIS and I have no idea which BB is good and which I should avoid.
Any suggestion on the best ISIS BB (68x108) to use.
Also, any suggestion on a front derailleur? Will the Campy Chorus work? I have a Racing T - would that be better?
I’ve been using the ISIS FSA’s on my road bikes for 6 years. The Platinum Pro Ti is nice but double the price for a very moderate weight savings. The standard Platinum is fine. You can find them on Ebay for $30 which is a good thing because the bearings don’t last a real long time. Miles so far are 7K on one, 3K on another, and 4K on yet another.
Yes the Campy Chorus will work in most of the time. They do make a Chorus “CT” front der (or did, I dont see it on the 11 ranges). I ran a Record on a Record CT crankset as well as a 53 with no issues.
