Fashion police: What is your opinion of the BAA 2014 marathon jacket? Tim
I’ll see what other souvenir clothing options are available during # pick-up.
The orange is pretty crazy.
Adidas is also offering this, though

I dig the orange. But I also have horrible taste so I’m told
Ugly. Glad I have 2013 jacket.
I actually all ready have one. If you wait until the expo they may not have your size (this happened to men’s medium two days before the pressure cookers went off in 2013). I think they are OK if you don’t mind looking like a traffic cone. However the white embroidering is hard to read. I think a flag colored theme would have been better. Tim

Yeah it is interesting to see the hundreds of XXLs left over with every single person looking for a medium - don’t they know who they are selling to - BQing runners, not people of Walmart??
Anyway it’s no big deal if you can’t find your size at the expo. IIRC, I ordered my medium last year online using my smartphone while at the expo. It was at my doorstep waiting for me at home, and probably cost less than buying in person because taxes.
the logo is barely visible over the blue background.
how will anybody know i did Boston from 100 yards away?
Yeah, seriously. People should worry less about the jacket and more about getting fast. Then we wouldn’t have to be bothered with all the “will my BQ -15 seconds be good enough?” threads because people would realize BQing isn’t that hard if someone properly trains.

Massachusetts does not charge sales tax on clothing.

Well good thing I said “probably”. In that case it cost the same, free shipping on Adidas.com
personally, I like the Orange (lt’s the new black, doncha’ know)
but also would want the more traditional blue/yellow combo. Not that it’s nicer looking (it sure isn’t), it’s just the one we’re used to. the one that you can see on a fellow running at a hundred paces and know it’s a Boston jacket.
The jacket was orange 2 years ago. And black and green the year before that.

Don’t they know the Broncos lost?
Seriously though, tangerine is a hard color for many of us to pull off and the logo is very hard to see. Hope they have some other options.
Not a fan of orange. And the jacket is not attractive. Last year they had blue as base color, so I bought a lot of stuff. This year prob won’t buy anything. Maybe I’ll pick up some Bruins shirts.

I think it is terrible. It was also terrible only two years ago when they did practically the same color. That being said, I don’t like these jackets anyway and never wear the one I do own.
The cut and style of the jacket is a great improvement. The previous models were dorky with that silly cape like vent hanging of the back.
The color is a different; a matter of taste - I personally like it, but can respect you if you don’t. There are other options…
Surprised they went with screen print over embroidery. I guess I the complaints are warranted for that, but for nothing else. The bitching about the jackets around Boston is already getting old.
Blue jacket is not the official jacket. Official jacket’s logo is embroidered.
Correct, I actually have one of these “traffic cones”. Also I would like to point out that by giving Addias permission to e mail their promotional material to me I got 15% off the list price ($110) and free shipping. So its actually cheaper to buy on line ahead of the event, then waiting for the expo. Tim
do you get a jacket for running or do you still have to buy it?
