So do you want to read a book or look at pictures in a book? Your post doesn’t make much sense.
However I would suggest Encyclopedia Britannica lots of reading but lots of books.

Start with the bible and then move swiftly to Stephen Hawkin’s “A brief history of time”
If you can wade through either one of these then you are a much better person than me. I have started them both several times and can’t get more than about five pages in before I just can’t take it any more.

So you want to know what to “read” to make you smarter, but don’t actually want to read?
My suggestion is to skip books, pick any of the 24hr cable news networks, and supplement with some E! channel. You won’t actually get smarter, but you’ll definitely think you’re smarter, and will continually tell people things to show them how much smarter you think you are.

My read books without reading comment was in jest.
When I was younger I used to read all the time, but I barley crack one book a year now. As I approach 50 I’m realizing my brain is not being challenged, and I’m having trouble remembering shit. Thats why I want to get back to some good books and maybe learn a new skill or something.
Trying to read fact based stuff on the internet/computer is difficult because there are so many distractions online, and I’m easily distracted. Even on TV where I mostly watch PBS and documentary type shows, it usually ends up going in one ear and out the other.
