Haven’t read it - yet - but we had a fellow give a brief talk at my employer earlier this year on the topic. Not sure it was one of the authors, but it was someone involved commercially in this sort of work.
Awesome idea, I think.
I’ll have to see if our library has the book…
Come on now, just spit out the synopsis in a paragraph or two. You can do it.
I’m sorry I don’t have a charge number for you. All I can give you is a pat on the back. Well done. The book does sound interesting…
Although I have to confess, I prefer to think of humans as animals. Left to their own devices they will always take the “low road” to obtain the most pleasure for the least effort. Beneath the thin veneer of civilization is a very primal urge to gorge on anything and everything. All species are capable of laying waste to their immediate environment until they are reigned in by outside forces.
Here’s a crucial difference, most species have predators that keep them in check. We don’t… hence the hubris.
I agree that humans make wasteful things but we are also natural not supernatural. In a million years we will not be here and the Earth will barely have noticed us.
