Bontrager Race Lite Reveiws?

I have read some reviews on the Bontrager Race Lite wheelset. They say that the rear wheel becomes un-trued very easily. Anyone here know anything about this. I only weight 145 pounds, would it still be an issue?

Also, I can get a used set for $100, it sounds like a steal, but are these wheels just rubbish?

i have been using them for 5 years now. no problems at all. never had to take them in for truing. very good and durable training wheel. I weigh between 180 and 190 depending on the time of the year.

I’ve got a madone that i’ve been on for the last 3.5 years that has stock race lites. 175-185 lbs. I’ve easily gone 2k before any truing was needed, and even then it was minimal. Not super light, but very reliable wheelset. On the cheap side for aero spokes too. Big reccomend.

The Race XLite wheels are good and solid. Highly recommend the Bontrager stuff.

Race Lite’s are good wheels. Highly recommend for training.

I am 200 lbs and have over 1000 miles on my current set and they are still true as can be. No problems here! Highly recommend them for a good quality road training wheel set!

225#'s, over 6,000 miles and in great shape. I’ve once hit about a 4 inch deep pothole while checking a route map; wham! No issue - very impressed.

Had a set of race x lite aero’s (w/PT hub) and currently have a set of the non-aero rxl’s. Thumbs up on both counts here.
