Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the Purdue Tri Team for putting on a great Olympic this morning. I did this one several years ago and it was a complete clusterf#$k (no chip timing, few voly’s, traffic issues). I was hesitant to sign up again but I’m glad I did. The RD this year put on a great race. Surprisingly warm swim (50 air temp), fast flat bike with all kinds of cops and volunteers to keep you safe and on course, a great flat run course with about 4 miles on pavement and the final 2 on basically a CC course. This is easily a PR course for most.
Finish included a LOT of pizza and one of the cooler finisher shirts I’ve gotten in a while. The transition area was nicely secured with somebody making sure you left with YOUR bike. Oh yeah, double the amount of port-o-potties since last time I did it. Still would like more but that is true of every race.
Congrats on the great race Purdue. Keep running the race exactly as you did this year.
