Body of worlds fastest swimmer over 100m

there seems to be this misconception on here that you need a big upper body to be good at swimming. this is most definitely NOT the case. sprinters are usually a bit bigger than longer distance swimmers. pieter van den hoogenband, fastest man ever over 100m free, can hardly be said to be massive in the upper body. here are some pics to clarify a few things for people.

check out the massive biceps!!!

who is that? he appears to have what i call ‘the swimmers illusion of being big’

yeah i thought it was michael klim. my compuiter screen is dark though. i dont think michael is that big is he? but ive never stood next to him.

the fastest guy in the world over what is generally a ‘power’ stroke, breaststroke, is like 1.76m and 67 kgs.

They all look fast. But do they satisfy?

typical comment of a triathlete when he spots a world class swimmer:

"yeh yeh… put him on a bike… i’d like to see how good he’s then… "
