I saw this and thought it was pretty cool. Maybe someone on the board might find it applicable.

Cancer survivor and six-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and Bristol-Myers Squibb have announced that applications are being accepted for the 2005 Bristol-Myers Squibb Tour of Hope™ National Team. Twenty extraordinary people who possess the cycling ability and physical endurance to ride over 100 miles a day for nine days, combined with a passionate commitment to support clinical trials and cancer research, will be selected by members of the cancer community

i told a training partner of mine to apply for it last yer (she’s a cancer survivor and amazing athlete) and she made the team! she said it was absolutely amazing–it is draining both mentally and physically. it involves a TON of riding–they make you meet with a coach during the interview process to make sure you can 1)hold a decent pace and 2)sit in a paceling for hours on end. good luck to anyone applying–you do get to see lance a couple times.
