Why the heck do I constantly get different results on different calculators online? Dang, I’m just trying to figure out my BMR so I know what my baseline is to lose weight:

Height 5’6
Weight 148
Size 6
29 Female… that looks 22 :slight_smile:

Because there are different formulae used to calculate them. Some more accurate than others. Google “Harris Benedict” I think that’s the one in my ex phys and nutrition textbooks.

well no website can really now that anyway, just pick one of the middle guesses and work your way down from there =)

Just pick one that makes the most sense to you and stick with it. If you’re using it as your progress gauge, nuances shouldn’t matter as long as you consistently use the same formula.
