BMC Speedmachine 01 Four

Hi guys
Looking for some folks from the BMC gang here
I used to ride a BMC TM02 2017 until… well… a few days ago. My loyal fast potatoe is gone

A bit sad but it lived 8 years and for a first triathlon bike it did more than the job.

So new bike day is upon me and I find myself hesitating. I have enough money to treat myself to something nice and I was eyeing the new BMC Speedmachine 01 FOUR

But I am having trouble finding reviews on this bike

So if you have the time, would you mind sharing your opinion? Is it a bike you would get for you? For the same price range, is there anything else you think would be better?

TL DR - a solid ride but the one person I know who owns a Speedmachine has had trouble with upkeep

Have a friend who has a speedmachine - anecdotally he liked it well enough for the year/two that he’s had it but over the last 6 or so months has found cracks in the frame in two different locations (not crashed, flown once, over a year ago), and just had his headset bearings seize having to get that rebuilt which took a long time to get parts from BMC for - it now clicks and buzzes. He has begun looking for a new bike, likely a Canyon, that will hopefully be less of a hassle.
