Blue Lake Mud Bog Olympic (Portland, OR)

Who else enjoyed the race in the rain this morning? I thought it was going to be absolutely miserable but once I was completely soaked it didn’t seem that bad. Got home and had to take the tubes and tires off my wheels and drain a bunch of water out. It was quite an experience. Not what I was expecting, but definitely memorable!

Despite the rain, mud, and cooler temps, the race was good.

Great volunteers, water temp was good, spacing between wave starts was good, bike course was fast, temperature was great for running … just had to survive that last downhill that was a bit slippery.

Nice way to spend a rainy day.
